§ Mr. Alfred Morrisasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the most recent research undertaken by his Department into the extra private expenditure incurred by disabled people because of their disability; and if any new research is contemplated.
§ Mr. RossiLast year the social policy research unit of York university completed a study of the effects of severe disablement in children on their families' incomes and expenditure patterns. The results of the study have been discussed with the research team and the need for additional analyses of data and for further research in this area are currently under consideration.
