§ Mr. EyreNo. The British Railways Board is empowered to establish the conditions under which any dangerous goods may be accepted for carriage by rail and to satisfy themselves that those conditions have been complied with. The existing conditions require that all consignments of radioactive materials should comply with the International Atomic Energy Agency's "Regulations for the Safe Transport of Radioactive Materials". I have no reason to believe that public safety would be enhanced by an additional measure of the kind suggested.
