As paragraph 84 of the Melbourne communiqué itself indicates, the British Government, together with other Commonwealth Governments represented at Melbourne, affirmed the importance of student mobility within the Commonwealth.
We have welcomed the Commonwealth Secretary General's initiative in taking steps to set up the standing committee on student mobility and we look forward to learning from the committee when it meets how we may co-operate with it.
