§ Mr. YoungerIn the period 10 June 1976 to 31 December 1981, the sale to sitting tenants of 487 croft house sites, 58 part crofts and 992 whole crofts had been reported to the Crofters Commission. The commission does not maintain specific records of crofts sold other than to sitting tenants, nor has it information on the prices paid for crofts. Details of acreage are not held centrally and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
