§ Mr. Mellor[pursuant to his reply, 10 May 1982, c. 172]: I am advised by the CEGB that construction of the first AGR station began in 1966. Excluding Heysham stage II, the last generating set in the programme is expected to produce commercial output in 1983.

§ Mr. Mellor[pursuant to his reply, 10 May 1982, c. 172]: I am advised by the CEGB that since May 1979 an additional 108 MW of nuclear generating capacity has come on stream. At 30 April 1982, 2,727 MW of nuclear generating capacity was available for use.
