§ Mr. Shersbyasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if Southern Thule Island in the South Sandwich group of islands, is still occupied by Argentine personnel without the consent of the Government; and, if so, what steps are being taken by the task force to remove them.
§ Mr. Onslowthe Government have always made it clear that they regard as illegal and unacceptable the continued presence of Argentine personnel on Southern Thule. However, the Government's first priority now is to bring about the removal of Argentine forces from the Falkland Islands.
