Since the first half of 1979 GNP or GDP is estimated to have risen by ½ per cent. in the USA, 4 per cent. in France, 2¼ per cent. in Italy, 2¾ per cent. in West Germany, 8½ per cent. in Japan and 4 per cent. in Canada.
