§ Mrs. ChalkerIn 1982–83 we are planning to spend £36 million repairing the surface of non-motorway trunk roads. Because of the variation both in the number of lanes to be resurfaced and in methods of repairs, a count of the mileage would have little meaning and no such figure is available.
