§ Mrs. ChalkerIn addition to the arrangements now in force for monitoring before and after traffic flows for all new trunk road schemes, my Department has carried out two detailed studies that allow actual and predicted economic benefits to be compared. These were on the A38 Chudleigh bypass and the M25 Godstone-Sevenoaks.
291WDetails of the former were published in 1977 and referred to in the Leitch report. The latter has just been completed and the results will be made available shortly. These studies broadly support our overall evaluations.
