§ Dr. VaughanThe British Printing Industries Federation, which is most directly affected by this, has been campaigning against the United States copyright laws including lobbying United States senators directly. We are fully in support of its case and both our embassy and the representative of the European Communities in Washington have made a number of formal and informal representations in the past year, protesting strongly against possible continuation of the so-called United States manufacturing clause.
