HC Deb 07 May 1982 vol 23 c155W
Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will make a statement on the effect of the dispute in the hospital service in the South-West of England.

Mr. Geoffrey Finsberg

Industrial action in the South-Western regional health authority has, until now, generally been limited to a few hospitals where it has taken the form of a two-hour stoppage amongst domestic, catering, transport and, in one hospital, laundry staff.

There appears to have been little or no effect on patient services.
