Glasgow Scotland SSHA Average Annual District Council Rent at September 1981 £436.25 £400.07 £476.02 purpose of calculating housing support grant for that year, amount to £88,758,951; this represents 60 per cent. of the Secretary of State's estimate of Glasgow's eligible housing revenue account expenditure for 1982–83. According to the council's latest annual return, about 28,000 houses in Glasgow were below the tolerable standard at 31 March 1981; but information is not held centrally about the number of houses judged to be in need of modernisation.
