§ Mr. YoungerThe cash provision for the construction and improvement of trunk roads in Scotland in 1982–83 is £90.4 million. The following table shows certain of the major schemes on which work is planned to start before 31 March 1983. The current estimate of the total cost of these schemes is £80 million. I hope to announce shortly a number of further schemes on which construction will start in 1982–83.
