asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will list for each local authority area in Northern Ireland the length of notice required by that authority or by him in respect of any march, procession or demonstration which is to take place within its area.

Article 3 of the Public Order (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 provides that a person who intends to organise or form a public procession—other than a public procession which is customarily held along a particular route—shall give not less than 120 hours' written notice to the Royal Ulster Constabulary.

District councils in Northern Ireland have no responsibilities for public order.
