Mr. Dalyellasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether, in advance of the meeting of the Road Transport Industry Training Board on 13 April, he has formulated his consideration of the factors involved in the proposed closure of Motec, in the light of the meeting of the Under-Secretary of State, the hon. Member for City of Chester (Mr. Morrison), with Mr. Alex Kitson, Mr. Larry Smith, and the hon. Member for West Lothian.

Member for West Lothian and to Mr. Alex Kitson and Mr. Larry Smith, when I met them, it is for the Road Transport Industry Training Board to decide the future of its own training centres in the light of what it considers to be the current training needs of the industry.
