§ Mr. Nicholas EdwardsOn 8 October 1981 the numbers of unemployed craftsmen whose last job was in the construction industry were 321 in the Newport employment office area and 5,289 in Wales. On 13 August 1981, a total of 1,587 construction workers were unemployed in the Newport area and 26,632 in Wales.
