§ Dr. VaughanThe National Consumer Council is currently examining the consumer interest in banking services at the request of my predecessor, my right hon. Friend the Member for Gloucester (Mrs. Oppenheim). I am considering whether there are other matters which should be referred to the council when the current study is complete.
