§ 51. Mr. Bidwellasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make new safety regulations for insulating foam.
§ Mr. StanleyI refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave to the hon. Member for Birmingham, Stechford (Mr. Davis) on 18 March, in which I described the two British standards applying to urea formaldehyde foam and the type relaxation direction to the building regulations which my Department has issued. The British Standards Institution is, of course, responsible for its own standards and keeps them constantly under review. My own Department similarly keeps the building regulations constantly under review.—[Vol. 20, c.193.]
