§ Mr. Peter MorrisonSupport for heavy goods vehicle driver training under the Manpower Services Commission's training opportunities scheme is to be withdrawn from the following regions in 1982–83 because of the limited job prospects:
- Northern
- North West
- Midlands
- Wales
- London
There will still be private training facilities, which provide the bulk of heavy goods vehicle driver training in these regions.
