§ Mr. Bruce-GardyneThe current rate of duty on aviation gasoline is equivalent to 35.3p a gallon. Reducing the duty to 3½p a gallon would cost about £3 million in a full year. I should make it clear to my hon. Friend that the revenue implications were not decisive in determining the new rate of duty.
