§ Mr. William SheltonThe results of a pilot study undertaken by Dr. Yule and Dr. Lansdown—with support from the Medical Research Council—on the relationship between blood lead levels and intelligence, behaviour and attainment in school children, were published in the October 1981 issue of the journal "Developmental Medicine and Child Neurology"—Vol. 23, pp. 567–576—The council is providing further support up to 31 March 1983 to enable Dr. Yule and Dr. Lansdown to extend this work. I understand that, subject to the study being completed by then, they may be expected to publish their results some time after that date.
