§ 60. Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consideration he has given to the recommendations of the recent Council of Europe Assembly report on metal detectors and archaeology.
§ Mr. MacfarlaneI understand that the report is addressed to the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe who will in due course reply to the Assembly. At that stage the United Kingdom's formal response will be made by the United Kingdom's representative. Meanwhile the report is being considered.
