§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will implement the recommendations of the Scottish Law Commission in its recent report on the legal position of illegitimate children.
§ Mr. RifkindOn 9 March the Scottish Law Commission published a consultative memorandum on illegitimacy on which it invited comments by 30 September. The commission will prepare and submit a final report, following further consideration in the light of comments received. At that stage the Government will give careful consideration to its recommendations.
