§ Mr. WaldegraveThe overall size of the predetermined advanced further education pool was announced by the Secretary of State in the course of his answer to a parliamentary question on 21 December—[Vol. 15, c. 316.] Details of its distribution to authorities, and the precise level of individual authorities' contribution to the pool, were notified by means of a letter to all local education authorities dated 12 January 1982. The revised arrangements for the pool's distribution had been devised over the previous year in close consultation with representatives of the local authority associations and other interests.
