§ Dr. BoysonMy right hon. Friend is aware of the strong differences of opinion which exist about the best way to reform the existing dual system of examinations at 16-plus and some of the many letters he has received on this subject favour the retention of separate GCE O-level and CSE examinations. He hopes it will be possible to consult the examination boards in the near future about a detailed statement of Government policy on this issue.
