Mr. Donald Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many applications for grant and loan for crofting housing were approved in 1981.

Mr. Younger

The number of approved applications for grant and loan assistance under the crofters building grants and loans scheme in 1981 was 341, comprising 116 approvals for new housing and 225 for housing improvement.

I regret that the information sought in the right hon. Member's question dated 23 October 1981—[Vol. 10, c. 51–52]—regarding the crofters scheme was misprinted in the Official Report. The table should have read as follows:
