§ Mr. Iain Millsasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will legislate to reduce the level of index-linked pensions by the same amount as a percentage as the reduction in 1980–81 of retirement pensions.
§ Mr. HayhoeUnder section 59 of the Social Security Pensions Act 1975, public service pensions are uprated at the same time and by the same percentage as the additional component of State retirement pensions. Public service pensions have therefore been treated in the same way as State pensions at both the 1980 and 1981 upratings.
