§ Mr. Bob Dunnasked the Secretary of State for Transport if, in order to allow those who wish to work on Monday 3 January 1983 to do so, he will seek to ensure that public transport provides a normal service on that day.
§ Mr. David HowellHow many people wish to work that day will be influenced by whether it is decided to make it a bank holiday. That in turn will no doubt be reflected in the arrangements made by public transport operators to cater for demand.
