§ Mr. Bruce-GardyneThe figures provided for total Government borrowings on marketable securities relate to financial years ending on March 31; the interest on funded Government borrowing paid is the total on all funded stocks during the financial years in question. These figures are published annually in the Consolidated Fund and National Loans Fund accounts and supplementary statements to those accounts. The average rate of interest is the average on the total funded borrowing outstanding on March 31 in each of the years stated.
