§ Mr. Foulkesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the decision to examine the possible re-establishment of the Children's Council in England and Wales, and in view of concern about standards of social work provision in Scotland, he will re-establish the Scottish Advisory Council on Social Work with a special training mandate to encourage specialist post-qualification in-service training schemes for social workers in the areas of child care and mental health which would be linked to well supervised practical work.
