§ The Prime MinisterWe continue to ensure that the Turkish Government are aware of our concern that their commitments to restore democracy and respect human rights should be given effect rapidly and in full. We welcome General Evren's recent announcement of a timetable for a constitutional referendum and elections. We shall continue to watch developments closely.
