§ Miss Wrightasked the Secretary of State for Trade, further to his reply to the hon. Member for Birmingham, Handsworth, on 11 July 1980, Official Report, c. 327, what progress has been made towards bringing into operation sections 16, 17, 19 and 22 of the Estate Agents Act 1979; and when it is likely orders will be made under section 3 (1) (a) (iii) or (d) or regulations laid under section 18 of the same Act.
§ Mr. EyreI will consider the question of further implementation of the Act in the light of experience of the working of the provisions coming into force on 3 May. It is important that estate agents, enforcement authorities and others should gain familiarity with these provisions before any new requirements are imported.
