§ Mr. PattieThe process of evaluating the lessons to be learned from the Falklands operation is already well under way but it would be premature for me to make a statement on this subject until we have had an opportunity to examine fully all aspects of the crisis. We shall then be in a position to take reasoned and considered decisions on what adjustments need to be made to the defence programme.
