§ Sir George YoungExpenditure on the three hangar buildings has been as follows:
Year £ 1979–80 56,543 1980–81 13,746 1981–82 3,303 The principal items included in this expenditure were on building low block walls and other measures necessary to seal the buildings against the ingress of vermin and birds so as to protect very valuable foodstuffs stored in them.
A major programme of recladding is currently being undertaken on one hangar at an estimated cost of £145.000 in 1982–83.
