§ Dr. Roger Thomasasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will consider giving financial support to the pilot scheme, devised and organised by the charity Advocacy Alliance, to train voluntary community helpers to expand techniques of patient care and supervision when no other source of immediate help is available.
§ Mr. RossiA grant under section 64 of the Health Services and Public Health Act 1968 has been made towards Advocacy Alliance's costs in carrying out a pilot study in three hospitals; a total of £40,000 has been allocated towards the costs of the study spread over the three years 1981–82–1983–84.
