Member for Brentwood and Ongar (Mr. McCrindle) on 3 March, Official Report, c. 171, if he is yet in a position to announce improvements in record-keeping procedures in the blood transfusion service.
§ Mr. Kenneth ClarkeReviews of record-keeping in regional blood transfusion centres and of audit guidance and practice have been carried out. A review of records in hospital blood banks is in progress. The advisory committee on the national blood transfusion service has been asked to consider the implications of these reviews. We expect to receive its recommendations in the autumn.
