§ 30. Mr. Durantasked the Minister for Trade, pursuant to his answer of 10 May, Official Report, c. 178, what progress he has made in seeking to encourage lower air fares in Europe.
§ Mr. SproatAt the Council of EC Transport Ministers in Luxembourg on 10 June a report was received on the progress of discussions about the proposed directive on air fares. It was disappointing to hear how little real progress had been made since the last Council meeting and I trust that my fellow Minsters in the Community will now exert their political will to ensure a positive outcome from the continuing discussions by the permanent representatives.
