§ Dr. BoysonEarly provisional counts suggest that the proportions of pupils aged 16 years remaining at maintained secondary schools in the North-West region in January 1982 were 21.9 per cent. for boys and 26.9 per cent. for girls. Corresponding proportions for January 1981 were 19.5 per cent. and 23.5 per cent.
