§ Mr. EyreIn the three months March to May 1982, the Department's traffic examiners weighed 2,227 heavy goods vehicles in Wales of which 210–9.4 per cent.—were overweight. Of these, 678 were weighed in Dyfed, 97–14.3 per cent.—of which were overweight. None were weighed in West Glamorgan. Local authority trading standards officers, including those in Dyfed and West Glamorgan, also carry out a substantial number of weight checks but figures are not readily available in a comparable form.
