§ Mr. Buchanan-SmithThis is a matter that is determined by the Council of Ministers each year. In this year's price negotiations we pressed for abolition of, and we achieved a reduction in, the co-responsibility levy for milk. Fairer and more effective measures are needed to tackle the milk surplus and we shall continue to pursue this line in the future.
