§ Mr. Ernie Rossasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if his Department is monitoring the neonatal screening research for muscular dystrophy being carried out at Western general hospital, Edinburgh; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. John MacKayMy Department is not providing funds for the support of this research and in consequence is not monitoring it. If and when the work being carried out is published in scientific journals my Department will consider the results with interest.
