§ Mr. RossiI understand that in certain such cases referred to him, the chief insurance officer has drawn attention to the published Commissioner's decisions R(P)3/52, R(P)1/65 and R(P)4/68 and has suggested that these point to the conclusion that the volunteers concerned were gainfully employed and receiving payment in excess of £6 a week, which is the current earnings limit for invalid care allowance. It is, of course, open to any claimant who is dissatisfied with the insurance officer's decision to appeal to the local tribunal.
