§ Mr. Alexander FletcherComprehensive information on expansion and new projects is not available, although those projects receiving selective financial assistance of £5,000 or more under section 7 of the Industry Act 1972 are listed quarterly in British Business. Since May 1979, 39,525 new jobs have been associated with offers of selective financial assistance, and these will arise over a number of years.
