§ Mr. Farrasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will now extend the right to apply for home improvement grants to tenants of agricultural holdings.
§ Mr. StanleyAn order under section 106 of the Housing Act 1980 will shortly be laid before Parliament which, subject to parliamentary approval, will extend the power of local authorities to entertain applications for home improvement grants from tenants of agricultural706W holdings with security of tenure under the Agricultural Holdings Act 1948. The order will come into operation on 26 August.
