§ Mr. Alexander FletcherAccording to information supplied by teachers themselves at September 1984—the latest date for which the information is at present available—teachers in education authority and grant-aided primary schools spent on average about 3½ hours per week on non-teaching duties, including preparation and correction; the figure in secondary schools was about 6¼ hours. The corresponding figures for 1975 were about 3½ hours and 6 hours, respectively.
