HC Deb 28 July 1982 vol 28 c578W
17. Sir Hector Monro

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has had discussions with chief constables concerning the security of members of the Royal Family when in Scotland.

Mr. Younger

Chief constables who have royal residences in their areas regularly review the security arrangements for which they are responsible. I have asked them to examine these again with special care and to report the results to me. More generally my Department issues guidance to all Scottish chief constables about the security of members of the Royal Family when in Scotland.
