asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has any plans for increased support for the pre-school playgroup movement in Scotland.

The Scottish Pre-School Playgroups Association has been offered grants amounting to £89,130 for 1982–83; this represents an increase of 8 per cent. over the amount offered in 1981–82.
