asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he intends that the Museum of Scotland will be sited in Edinburgh.

Mr. Younger

It will be for the trustees of the Museum of Scotland, when they are appointed, to consider the most suitable location for the museum in the longer term; but I envisage that at least its initial development will take place in Edinburgh where the collections of the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland are at present housed.
