§ Sir George YoungIn the 12 months July 1980 to June 1981, local authorities in England accepted responsibility for securing accommodation for 68,000 homeless households. Information on the proportion of single people accepted is not available in the form requested. However, in the first three quarters of 1980 about 2 per cent. of accepted households were single pregnant persons aged 19 or less.
