§ Mr. Ancramasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what estimates his Department has made of the numbers of Scottish parents who have taken advantage of, or have made notification that they intend to take advantage of, the parents' charter provided for by section (1) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1981.
§ Mr. Alexander FletcherEducation authorities have been asked to submit information about the number of placing requests made up to 31 July as soon as possible thereafter. I shall write to my hon. Friend when the information has been received and collated.
